There is a place
for you here.
God created you, loves you, forgives you and encourages you to love others. You are invited to come be a part of a community that seeks out and reflects the light of God. Worship is at 9:30 am Sunday mornings in-person and online.
Being church in a pandemic...
While New York State has recently dropped most pandemic-related guidelines; out of solidarity for those not yet vaccinated (which includes children under 12) and out of love and care for our neighbors, we are:
-Still requiring masks and social distancing in all indoor spaces, except...
-...vaccinated persons may remove masks once seated for worship and physically distanced.
-Singing as a whole congregation again! We do ask unvaccinated persons to remain masked while singing.
-Resuming Holy Communion where persons are invited to come up the center aisle to receive communion.
-Masks are not required for outdoor activities.
See our update letter to the congregation for details.

About Trinity Lutheran Church of South Newstead
We are a rural friendly church. Sunday service is at 9:30am, and Sunday school is at 8:30am. We welcome all. Come and see...God is alive and well! We are located in the town of Newstead, just outside the village of Akron, just down South Newstead Rd off of Route 5 (Main St.) and adjacent to the NYS Thruway. Our original building can be seen across the street. But as you know, a church is just a building. The congregation defines it.
