There is a place
for you here.
God created you, loves you, forgives you and encourages you to love others. You are invited to come be a part of a community that seeks out and reflects the light of God. Worship is at 9:30 am Sunday mornings in-person and online.
Being church in a pandemic...
We are following all New York State DOH guidelines to keep everyone safe during the covid-19 pandemic. Mask wearing, contact info, "compassionate" distancing and modified worship practices are things we are doing out of love and care for others.

Staples are collected through donations from local churches, organizations and individuals in the community. Monetary donations are gratefully welcomed to help us with our mission, please click below.

Need to talk?
Whether you're going through a difficult time, you're concerned about a friend or loved one, or you need to talk about something else, I'm here to listen. Please give me a call or email any time.
About Trinity Lutheran Church of South Newstead
We are a rural friendly church. Sunday service is at 9:30am, and Sunday school is at 8:30am. We welcome all. Come and see...God is alive and well! We are located in the town of Newstead, just outside the village of Akron, just down South Newstead Rd off of Route 5 (Main St.) and adjacent to the NYS Thruway. Our original building can be seen across the street. But as you know, a church is just a building. The congregation defines it.
